Leadership & Equity Training for Nonprofits: Spring 2024 Series

Where will the workshops be held?

All in-person dates (1st and 3rd workshop in each series) will be held in southeastern San Diego. All online dates (2nd workshop in each series) will take place via Zoom.

Who should sign up?
The series is designed with staff, board, and volunteers from San Diego County nonprofit organizations or fiscally-sponsored programs in mind.

What's the time and participation commitment?
The series consists of three workshops; each workshop is 3-hours long and will feature a mix of facilitator presentations and group discussions and activities. Participants are expected to attend and actively participate in all three workshops, as the material and discussions are designed to build upon one another across the series.

What happens after I register?
You'll receive an email confirmation from our team within two business days of registering, along with calendar invites for the series you've signed up for.


About our facilitator

Azadeh Davari, PhD

Dr. Azadeh Davari is a certified leadership coach with over 10 years of experience in developing and conducting personal and organizational leadership programs with a deep reflective approach to raise consciousness. She is an award-winning trainer with a successful record of founding and facilitating over 50 local and international leadership capacity building workshops for professionals in the fields of science, technology, engineering, startups, education, and healthcare, and for organizations such as UNICEF, WHO, multinational corporations, NGOs, and universities.

A researcher with a diverse academic background focused on intercultural understanding, diversity, and inclusion from leading universities in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, Dr. Davari received her doctorate in leadership studies from the University of San Diego where her dissertation work focused on a culturally-based leadership perspective. As an organizational consultant and coach, her interest is to create a deeper understanding of self, others, and systems to develop intercultural dialogue and collaboration. Her passion is to increasingly attend to issues of diversity, inclusion, equality, women empowerment, mindfulness, consciousness, and reflective practices in leadership.

Dr. Davari is a co-lead facilitator of the RISE Urban Leadership Fellows Program for our ninth cohort of RISE Fellows.
